Making Space to Play

When you walk onto The Fields at RFK, it’s hard to picture what it used to be — a wide, empty stretch of land waiting for purpose. Today, it’s a place full of life and connection. What was once underutilized has become a space for the community to gather, play, and grow together. Since construction began in 2018 and operations launched in 2019, Go Play has proudly managed The Fields as a welcoming home for play of all kinds. From local leagues and youth practices to community open play sessions, we invite everyone to get moving.

We’re committed to keeping The Fields active and accessible. Through our community open play schedule, neighbors can drop in, meet new teammates, and enjoy the game with no registration required.

Our work doesn’t stop here. Guided by our pillar of Making Space to Play, we continue to seek and shape new areas across the city where communities can come together through sport, movement, and joy. This is what Making Space to Play means to us: transforming open land into open possibility, and giving the community back a place we all deserve.
