Community Engagement: Building Community Through Play

At Go Play, community engagement means creating opportunities for kids and families to connect, grow, and belong through sports and recreation. We work to strengthen the network of community programs and help more young people access them because every child deserves the chance to play.

Recently, that mission took on new life at our first-ever Youth Sports for All (YSFA) event. Our community came together to explore new sports, connect with DC pro sports teams, and discover local programs. Families learned about opportunities nearby, and partners came together to make the day a success.

Youth Sports for All is at the heart of what we do. For us, community engagement means creating opportunities for people to come together, build connections, and strengthen their communities through play. And that’s the Go Play standard.
