No Team? No Problem. Just Go Play.
Community Open Play is for…
When you have a ball in your trunk. When your kids are climbing the walls at home. If the group chat asking, “Anyone down for a game?”. Any of that ring a bell? Then come on down.
Community Open Play Is Exactly What It Sounds Like
It’s free.
It’s unstructured.
It’s yours.
Go Play schedules Community Open Play time on fields that aren’t otherwise reserved. That means you can show up, spread out, and start playing. No whistles. No clipboards. No registration required. Just pick-up soccer. Tossing a football. Running drills. Racing your kids. Meeting your neighbors. Check the reservation calendar for scheduled times here so you know exactly when the fields are yours.
Want to Organize Something?
If you’re planning a structured practice, clinic, league game, or organized activity, you’ll need a permit. Birthday bash? Team hang? Family reunion? You can reserve space on a field, under the Pavilion, or in the playground picnic area. Just book your spot in advance. Head to the Fields Permit page to request one. For the full breakdown, check out our Community Use Policy.
At Go Play, we believe access to space matters especially in a city where not every neighborhood has room to run. Community Open Play is about lowering barriers and raising the energy. It’s about Capitol Hill kids, Ward 7 and 8 families, and everyone in between sharing the same field. No league. No pressure. No cost.
Just show up.
We’ll see you out there. 🏃♀️⚽
Go Play.
